What started out as a “placeholder” event for the 2021 Grant Park Summer Shade Festival – which was held hostage for a second year by the pandemic, turned into a welcome break from isolation, and at the time, a quieted local music scene. Now in its third year, the Grant Park Porchfest has become another in-demand community event for neighbors, music players and music lovers to gather and enjoy the charm of our Southeast Atlanta neighborhoods.

The 2024 Porchfest will again be spread across a handful of houses at one of Grant Park’s most well-known and hospitable intersections: Grant St. and Cherokee Place.
While there are many deserving charities and nonprofit organizations in our community, these neighborhoods wouldn’t be as special as they are without their crown jewel – the city’s first public park. In honor of L.P. Grant who donated the land to the City of Atlanta more than 150 years ago, the organizers, hosts, and musicians will continue to donate their time so that there is no fee to attend.
Instead we ask that you consider donating to the Grant Park Conservancy, which is committed to the restoration, beautification, and maintenance of the park, as well as preserving its historic importance. Your donation will be used to improve the health of the park’s tree canopy, remove invasives, fund park workdays, and help bring the Summer Shade Festival back to Grant Park in 2024.
Thanks for your interest and support!
